Can you believe the first month of 2018 has just begun? 2017 came and went entirely too fast.
With the fresh new year starting, comes fresh new goals. New year, new me. Right?
I know, I know. Everyone starts out the year so motivated and then come February we’re back to being slackers. But I have 3 easy ways you can stay on top of your goals.
Write your goals down. The secret to goal setting is just writing your goals down. The act of putting them on paper will give you a much greater chance of success than keeping them in your head. Once you write your goals down you will be able to see them and demolish them.
Don’t make excuses. Having discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. One of my biggest weakness is putting things off. Let's face it, at times it seems as if I am the queen of procrastination, but not anymore! Once I shifted my mindset and made my goals my priority I began to enjoy the process of creating and reaching the goal. Pay attention to your excuses as they can teach you more about yourself than you ever thought was possible.
Reward yourself. Yes! You read right. Once you accomplish any of your goals no matter how big or small REWARD YOURSELF! The act of reward giving is a form of progress. It boosts up your motivation in order to push yourself out of your comfort zone to achieve. Once you reward yourself you are celebrating your accomplishments.
